Recent floods that hit many parts of England, namely the South West, have been estimated to cost approximately £1billion in insurance pay outs. The UK government is introducing a scheme called Flood Re, which helps to reinsure people whose homes are liable to repeated flooding. Read more from flood consultant, Mary Dhonau, here.
